Vice President for Academic Success

Dr. Laura E. Boyer

Dr. Laura E. Boyer has over 26 years of higher education experience within community colleges and has served Northeast Lakeview College as the Vice President for Academic Success since 2018.  Prior to joining Northeast Lakeview College, Dr. Boyer served as the Dean of Institutional Research, Effectiveness, and Strategic Planning, the Associate Dean for Curriculum and Student Learning, and the Accreditation Liaison for South Texas College as well as having over 14 years of experience as an adjunct faculty member, teaching undergraduate coursework in multiple modalities.

Dr. Boyer has in-depth experience providing leadership for academic affairs, strategic planning, accreditation, strategic course schedule management, workforce program development, and learning outcomes assessment. She is passionate about improving student success outcomes, leadership development, and building collaborative approaches to decision-making.

Her educational background includes an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Lamar University, a Master of Education in Adult Education from Texas A&M University – Kingsville, and a BA degree in Music and Psychology from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee.
